Hey, I’m Matt, but usually the athletes call me Coach Bandy. I’m a teacher in the Halton District School Board, where I coach my school volleyball team every year. Additionally, I’ve had the pleasure of coaching for many clubs throughout southern Ontario for over a decade. I was a varsity athlete through university and college, winning a bronze medal with the Men’s Volleyball Team at Sheridan College in 2016, but beach has always been my favourite version of the sport. My mentality has always been that whatever you put into this sport - whether it be at practices or tournaments, is what you’ll get out of it. Consistency, respect for the game and working hard on technique will pay off. Looking forward to another year working with HBVC, see you on the sand!
